I’m traveling to watch a music festival featuring my current favorite band Dry Cleaning. I’m also going to my favorite ramen place after 4-ish years and hope it’s still as good. And I’m also going to see old friends

I will play some more Psychonauts.

Maybe I will be able to go LED/step-sensitive floor game place. Seeing those I can't help thinking how I could make a place like this and make some games for it.

Whoo, Psychonauts! May have been over a decade since we played the original. Glad to report that the sequel was quite the treat. "Bob's Bottles" may hit really hard.

Traveling home from my holiday. Man I don't look forward to Monday and going to work again. Last day of work was the 26th of August.. Oh well, back to it

Job hunt! Currently bouncing between what AI-free software engineering jobs we can find and getting rejected from Starbucks over and over (in case you needed any more proof that the US economy is suffering). Starting a food safety certification course next week. Any referrals or resume feedback are appreciated, ideally on-site here in NYC.

Getting back to budgeting. Going to get Actual Budget synced up with our accounts and see what trends we can spot there.

And watching some Gundam with a new friend! Excited for that.

I'll be spending time in Brazil with my mom for her 81th birthday, then flying back to NYC on Sunday — I applied for an apartment in Brooklyn, but haven't heard back from them yet.

Also, moving another VPS out of Digital Ocean (my family mail server). After that I still have 2 more to go, but those should be quick.

Diving into NetBSD on some old hardware I had laying around. Should be fun.

Continuing moving my personal projects from Digital Ocean to Vultr. Static sites are done. Rails sites are next.

I'm a domain name junkie and this week I bought a couple old domains that were used for the stuxnet control servers, so I'm thinking of setting up something to see what kind of traffic if anything those receive.

Hoping to make more progress on my toy Raft protocol impl. Its a sansio impl an has a discrete event simulator for testing.

Next I want to hook up a real udp transport followed by afxdp. I am trying to do all the coding myself, which is slow but much more rewarding.

Continue playing through the (so far) excellent new Fire Emblem game on Switch 2. I should really just study for the JLPT (Japanese language test) coming up in December...

Good luck! Which level are you doing? A friend signed up for N1 in December, and who knows, he might even make it. I definitely wouldn't.
